So You Been It The Home Inspection Business A While? And Things Are Much Tougher Now?
Things were a little easier ‘Back In The Day.’
Way back when..
- There weren’t as many home inspection schools pumping out home inspectors right and left, promising them they could make $250.00 an hour.
- The housing market was booming and there was business for everyone but after the housing market collapse, not so much.
- Then came the recession and that changed everything again!
Most home inspectors that have been around any length of time have never learned to market their business effectively. When the economy was good and the housing market was red hot, most inspectors got by with just being a ‘good technician.’ Why learn to market your business when you didn’t have too?
Wow; have times changed or what?
In today’s market, you have to understand that while you are a home inspector, you’re actually in the business of marketing your home inspection firm.
That’s right, you’re actually in the marketing business.
Think about this, do you really have a viable business if prospects don’t choose your home inspection company?
The failure to grasp this fundamental notion is at the heart of the alarming rate of failure experienced by so many home inspection firms, new and old. Heck, I bet you know people who were in the home inspection business but were forced out of the market over the last three years due to a lack of business.
At Home Inspection Marketing Center we have clients that have been in the home inspection business 15 to 20+ years and somehow they’ve managed to survive being a “good technician.” But when the market turned this last time they saw the writing on the wall…Learn to market effectively or go the way of the dinosaur!
Here’s the good news…
Marketing is nothing more than getting the prospect to choose you for their home inspection.
We do this in two very simple ways…
Our first task is to get the home buyer to understand what’s in it for them by doing business with your firm.
Our next task, is to build a know me, like me, trust me relationship with the prospect. Once you do those two things, prospects will choose you for their home inspection and they will refer you to others.
At the Home Inspection Marketing Center, we share with you how to make those things happen.
So you really have two choices…
Keep doing what you’re doing now and you know that hasn’t given you the results that you’re looking for.
Or you can invest a few dollars a month and learn from somebody who’s not only a successful home inspection company owner himself, but a teacher of home inspection marketing, who’s helps hundreds of home inspectors get and keep their schedules full.
