If you’re like most home inspectors, then your sick and tired of allowing real estate agents to control your income. So what you need to do right now is gain the the skills you need, via a little additional home inspector training, and Go Direct To The Public for home inspections!

You see, when you Go Direct To The Public for business, you avoid all the headaches associated with real estate agent referrals.

Here’s what I mean…

Why do some real estate agents care about how much the inspection costs? Are they paying for it? You would think they are because many of them have said to me, Ken your prices are just too high! I’m thinking I’m getting a few hundred bucks for the essential information I’m providing the home buyer and you’re getting thousands of dollars for what? I might not be the sharpest shovel in the shed but I don’t get that!

Why do some real estate agents advise their clients that they don’t need any addition services besides the basic home inspection? I know the home buyer wants to know about all aspects of the home, like does it have elevated radon gas levels or high concentrations of mold spoors? But suggest these tests to the home buyer and in many cases you get shot down by the real estate agent.

Why do some real estate agents refuse to put top quality home inspectors on their “approved vendor list” but when they want an inspection on the property they are purchasing, they personally call one of theses top quality inspectors who aren’t on their approved vendor list?

Why do many real estate offices charge home inspectors hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year to have access to the agents in their offices?

Finally, wouldn’t it be much better if you just had to serve one master… the person who paid you; the home buyer?

Your dream of getting rid of all of the headaches listed above can be solved by getting a little additional home inspector training.

Quality Home Inspector Training Will Help You Accomplish Both Of These Goals!

In any online marketing campaign you engage in, you have two basic goals. The first goal is to get home buyers to your website so that you can convert them into paying customers. Secondly, you want to build quality backlinks to your website so that you can show up higher in the organic search listings.

Home Inspector Training Secret: Use Article Marketing To Make This Happen!

Many people say that writing articles for publication is no longer an effective home inspection marketing strategy. I disagree! Done correctly, article marketing is still a very powerful tool to get both visitors to your website (we call this traffic) and build powerful backlinks to your site at the same time.

Home Inspector Training Tip! WordPress is an excellent tool for a variety of reasons if you plan to publish articles on your website. It does your coding for you, has a ton of add-ons to help with SEO and other facets of website marketing, and has many automated tools such as submitting your RSS to a variety of directories.

If you plan on writing home inspection related articles, you should create an author biography for yourself. This composition should give a brief glimpse of personal information about yourself. Make sure you include all information that describes your expertise. Having expertise in the field which you are writing about gives the marketing article more credibility.

The biggest mistakes that commonly occur in article marketing are simple. The first is that you never sit down and get started writing. The second is to write articles that are not encouraging your reader to take action on something, and third is that you are sharing too much information in the article and leave the reader no reason to check out your site.

Home Inspector Training Tip! Focus on real quality when you use an article marketing strategy. Article marketing has gotten a bad rap because so many people have glutted the internet with poor quality articles, jammed with SEO terms yet providing no real value for the reader.

Home Inspector Training Success Tips…

Make your article introductions lively. Try to interject some fun, wittiness or sparkle into the beginning of your article. This will draw in readers much better than something that starts off dry and boring, such as “this article is going to talk about…” Look for interesting trivia or fun facts about your topic and add them into your intro.

The titles you craft in your article marketing efforts should be distinctive ones. Researching the other articles written about home inspection topics are a vital part of article marketing. When you do so, pay attention to how your competitor’s articles are titled. Do your best to make your own titles stand out from the crowd.

Home Inspector Training Tip! Avoid placing sales pitches and links for self-promotion in the body of your article when trying to market it. You need to focus on making them SEO friendly by placing your keywords throughout it at least 4 to 5 times.

Publishing is the goal of an article marketer. Quality relevant websites, blogs and other directories to host your content and link back to your site are essential. Remember each site has their own set of terms and conditions, so be sure to read and follow them carefully.

Critical Home Inspector Training Tip…

Pick a topic for your article that focuses on how to help people. Answering questions, trying to solve problems or writing a “how-to” about something, can show others that you are knowledgeable in the home inspection business. People will want to reach out to you and learn more about you, if they feel you can help them.

Home Inspector Training Tip! Concentrate on promoting your articles, and do some SEO utilizing social media. Use Digg and Twitter.

If you want to be successful at article marketing, you cannot be boring. Readers have tons of choices as to what they read. If you are not precise and to the point and ramble on about nothing, you will not keep your readers interest. Make sure your content is interesting and won’t put anyone to sleep.

As long as you can keep producing quality articles, you can be a success and drive people to your website and get lots of high quality backlinks. Your success really depends on the amount of effort you’re willing to put into the project and also on the quality of information you’re using to help build your campaign.

In the home inspection business, we have an unlimited number of topics to write about that the public would be very interested in. I’ll share with you the thing I remind my Members of daily… Implementation of the marketing strategies you have chosen to pursue is the key to your success!

Hey, you might not be a great article marketer today, but with a little home inspector training from the Home Inspection Marketing Center, you can certainly master this highly effective SEO strategy to get more business directly from the public!

Solid Advice When Trying A Mobile Marketing Promotion

Are you pressed for money and need a way to bring in more customers fast?

You have a pretty good feel for marketing but still have not found the one solution that will really meet all of your needs. Read this home inspector training article on mobile marketing and you may be surprised with what you find out.

Home Inspector Training Tips…

HOME INSPECTOR TRAINING TIP! Along with mobile marketing and using social media to promote your business, you need to have some official company guidelines, as far as conduct goes on those social media sites. The social media and mobile are the face of your business, as much as any website or advertisement, so have a policy to define how team members should act and engage your customers.

Do not send text messages to your customers too early in the morning or late at night. As much as a customer likes your product or service, and no matter how exciting the promotion is, they are not likely to be pleased by a late night or early morning text message.

Try conducting a usability test prior to actually launching your mobile ad campaign to make sure it goes smoothly! Send the ad in a small test circle to include yourself and trusted friends or family. Ask for the honest input of everyone and ask yourself if you like the ad and would be persuaded by it!

HOME INSPECTOR TRAINING TIP! If you often have great sales or give-aways, consider using SMS to get the word out. Text messages shine in their ability to cut through the clutter of an otherwise busy, application-filled mobile device.

Never send out any type of unsolicited messages. This will just be spam to people, and you may end up losing potential customers quickly. If they get a message from someone or some company they don’t know, they will probably just delete it right away, and be a little frustrated.

Paying close attention to what your competitors are doing is great to gain an edge in social marketing, but following their every move just means that you’re going to blend in with the fray. You have to stand out above your competitors here. Blending in means that, at best, you’ll be splitting customers; at worst, you’ll lose them all.

HOME INSPECTOR TRAINING TIP! Use scannable QR codes to introduce your brand to customers. Link a QR code with a discount or coupon that is only found on the mobile application, product information, short video or another relevant item of value to the user.

Enhance your text messages with other forms of communication. Make use of multi-channel marketing. One form communication isn’t enough for today’s audience. Each style of communication has its own set of pros and cons. This is why it is best to use more than one. Try sending direct mail, e-mail and a text right before something important happens.

When you are setting up your marketing adds for cell phones, they must be cross-platform compatible. Every one has a different phone, and you don’t want to end up cutting off some people from seeing your advertisement just because of the phone that they have. Your customers will not switch phones, though they may switch from your product to one that they see all the time on their phone.

In conclusion, you do not have a lot of money to mess around with and want to make sure that when it comes to your marketing budget, every last cent is well spent. Consider the home inspector training advice provided to you in this article and judge for yourself if mobile marketing is the answer for you.

Sending too many emails is the most common mistake that home inspectors make when it comes to email marketing.

Your customers and referral sources do not want to get two or three emails a week. Some inspectors send that many out in a day. This can lead to having your target audience adding your email address to their spam list.

When this happens, your target audience has no chance to receive the emails that they actually might want to see. Plus, you won’t get any click through activity to increase your sales if your customers are sending your emails to their spam folders automatically.

When you overload your list’s inbox, they feel like there are just too many emails for them to read. They may not always send your emails to their spam folder, but they may not read all the emails you send out either.

They may simply delete them as bothersome. They may open one once in a while if the subject line appeals to them, but the bulk of the emails you send will not be read and you will be wasting money and time.

Instead, send out only one email a week and make one of the weekly emails a larger newsletter.

The emails that you send out each week need to contain information the recipient deems useful. They can also have special offers or sales on products or services that will entice your subscribers to read the email.

The bottom line is that your target audience is overloaded with emails, so here’s the best way to make your email marketing payoff…

Only send one email a week.

The weekly email needs to contain information that is useful to the recipient.

One of you weekly emails needs to be a newsletter.

Your email ‘subject lines’ need to be catchy to increase your open rates.

Always track your ‘open rate’ and your ‘click through rate’ to get a better idea of what your target audience likes.

OK, if you’re not up to speed on all these issues, don’t worry! At Home Inspection Marketing Center we teach our Members how to maximize their email marketing campaigns to increase their sales. Plus, we share with the the resources we use to automate the process.

Effective time management allows you to accomplish more, have satisfied customers and a well run business.

But if you’re struggling with managing everything you have to deal with, try this strategy!

The Strategy Is Called Chunking.

Chunking refers to completing similar types of work all at the same time.

You can implement this into your business in several ways…

* Make a running list of calls to return. Set aside a block of time dedicated to accomplishing this.

Working in time chunks also help you to better focus and concentrate, as you are working in one process and system of thought rather than trying to do too many things at once.

Using the phone example, once you’ve starting making phone calls, you begin to develop a momentum and a phone “script” and are more successful.

* Pay bills for the business all at once, even if they are not yet due. This keeps you from having to deal with or think about it later.

Sitting down and taking care of all of your business expenses whether it’s once a month or once every two weeks helps you to better focus on other areas of your business.

When you take care of little details all at one time, it frees your mind from being concerned or worried about having to do it all “later.”

This is a wonderful idea for events that repeat themselves on a frequent basis (like bill paying or email marketing) but that also need your complete attention to detail.

* Write articles or press releases all at the same time instead of spreading them out.

Write anything that is related to each other all in one episode or sitting as well. This saves you from having to think about it or deal with it when you are concentrating on other goals.

Tasks where this can be done is with:

Writing press releases for new services from your business

Writing thank-you notes to clients

Note: Home buyers will choose you for their inspection once they are convinced that you are the “expert” that will protect them from getting stuck buying a ‘money pit.’

And done correctly, Article Marketing will definitely establish you as the go to expert in your local market.

Article marketing is one of the absolute best ways to put “Direct To The Public” marketing to work for your home inspection business.

What Is Article Marketing?

Article marketing is simply the writing of approximately 500word articles on a subject that is related to your business.

These content-rich articles are then published online through a variety of article submission sites.

How Does Article Marketing Work?

By strategically writing articles that are relevant to the products and services you offer and submitting the articles to online article submission sites, you will create a direct path to your website for anyone who does a search for information that relates to your business.

The resource box typically found at the bottom of the article is how readers find your company information and are directed to your website.

Article marketing is so simple that many inspectors overlook its power and effectiveness in establishing you as the go to expert in your local marketing area.

Remember that an article is not a sales pitch. It needs to be full of relevant information that is actually useful.

Once you write good articles that actually teach your prospects/customers something while establishing yourself as a “go-to expert” in the industry, you will need to get the articles published in a variety of places across the internet.

Ok, if you don’t know how to do the things mentioned in the article above, don’t worry. At Home Inspection Marketing Center, we teach you how to do article marketing, give you topics to write about and share with you the places you need to submit your articles, so that you can book more inspections.

Don’t delay, Get Signed Up Today, so that you can establish yourself as the go to expert in you local market and book more inspections!

They need more work. They need to attract more clients and they need to adapt to the changing economy and they need additional home inspector training to make that happen!

I know that you are painfully aware that the real estate market is changing and how you react to the changes will determine your ultimate success. Understanding the changes and meeting the challenges head on are essential to the survival of your business.

Honestly, additional home inspector training is going to be needed to deal with all of the future challenges, you’ll face.

Because of all the turmoil in the market over the last couple of years, I think that there has never been a better time for additional home inspector training so you can… Go Direct To The Public For Business!

When you go Direct To The Public For Business, you gain total control over your financial future! You no longer have to sit at home and wait on referrals… You can be “proactive” to make sales happen!

But what’s holding many home inspectors back from taking this path is their lack of home inspector training in this area!

There are specific online marketing strategies that apply uniquely to Going Direct To The Public For Business. If you don’t use these online marketing strategies correctly, your website will not get traffic and you won’t attract new clients.

One of the stumbling blocks impeding most home inspectors from implementing such strategies is that they simply have no idea what needs to be done. Online marketing is so new and such unfamiliar territory for most inspectors that they don’t know where to start.

Inspectors spend so much time running their business, taking care of their clients that they haven’t taken the time to learn these new skill sets.

To see if you need additional home inspector training in Going Direct To The Public For Business, take a minute to test your online marketing knowledge by asking yourself a few questions…

What are long-tailed keywords?

What is a keyword density?

What is Web 2.0?

How do you set up an autoresponder?

How do you change the tags on your website?

How do you create videos and audios for your website?

If you’re like most inspectors, you can’t answer these questions and I want you to know, that’s absolutely normal. You have spent your time focusing on other aspects of your business, ones that you do indeed need to master. But now you need to learn more!

Finally, the time has come for every home inspector to discover exactly what needs to be done in order to effectively put an online marketing plan in place for his or her business and that’s going to require some additional home inspector training!

Did you know…

98% of searchers choose a business that is on page 1 of the search results they get

41% of clicks go to the #1 ranked site in a search

12% of clicks go to the #2 ranked site in a search

And only 8.5% of clicks go to the #3 ranked site in a search

After reading the information above, you might feel like you need additional home inspector training! If that’s the case, then you need to get signed up as a Member of Home Inspection Marketing Center. We teach home inspectors, just like you, how to Go Direct To The Public for business and we can help you as well, guaranteed.

So Don’t Delay, Join Today, so you can begin learning the skills you need to gain control over your financial future, by Going Direct To The Public for business!

NOTE: While online local domination sounds rather ominous, it’s the exact home inspection marketing strategy you want for your firm in order to get more inspections directly from the public.

Online local domination means that you are the #1 authority online for your local market.

You get that distinction by taking your business from hard to find online to literally being everywhere online. You must be in the top 10 of both the local search and natural search.

Your home inspection marketing content needs to show up in top results and you will have more consumer reviews than any other home inspection business in your market.

Once your firm is consistently the most popular one found in any type of online search, and you are absolutely everywhere your local prospects look, potential new clients quickly come to recognize that you are the authority in your field.

These home buyers will want to do business with you because they will recognize you as the best. And who doesn’t want to do business with the best?

Online local domination is simply being the most readily found home inspector in your local area.

If your firm is consistently at the top of the local search results, normal search results and geo-targeted generic results, you have achieved online local domination.

Home Inspection Marketing Action Steps…

You can make yourself the master of local results by understanding how searches work. You need to understand the different keywords that are used as individuals search for home inspector in your area. This will help you to employ different online home inspection marketing techniques to help you effectively get to the top of the search engine results, which is exactly where you want to be.
Page 1 results are what you need and ultimately what matter most because 98% of people searching online choose from those page 1 results, no matter what search engine they use.

Home Inspection Marketing Fact…

You have to be in the top 3 results for your keywords in order to get potential clients to your site. If you are not in the top 3, you are losing out on a lot of business.

Home Inspection Marketing 3 Point Online Domination…

Start the 3 point online domination process today in order to achieve online local domination. You can be everywhere you want to be online by using:

But the majority of the home inspection sales websites I’ve reviewed over the last several years make 5 deadly home inspection marketing mistakes that prevents the site from converting website visitors into paying customers.

Home buyer’s looking for a home inspector online will only spend a few seconds glancing at your website, and if the site contains any of the deadly home inspection marketing mistakes listed below, they’re hitting the back browser button at the speed of light and moving on to your competitor’s website!

Here are five of the biggest home inspection marketing mistakes I see everyday with inspectors websites…

1. The home page of the inspector’s website is all about the home inspector.

Home buyers want to know “What’s In It For Them” by choosing your firm and not giving them that information in the first paragraph on your site turns them off.

2. The inspector doesn’t use his/her name and/or photograph on the website.

If your name and photograph is not on the site, the consumer gets the impression that they will be dealing with some nameless, faceless corporation and research shows that consumers are turned off by that.

3. Having inspection pricing on the website.

You want the home buyer to call you after reviewing your website. When the home buyer calls, you have a great opportunity to share, “what’s in it for them” by selecting your firm. However, when you have pricing on your website you eliminate the need for that critical call.

4. Having Adsense Ads on your home inspection sales website.

Adsence ads do nothing to help you convert website visitors into paying customers and are nothing more that another way for customers to leak off of your sales website.

5. Not giving the prospect the information they need to make a decision for your firm.

When reworking your website, think about your own buying habits. If you were a home buyer, what information would you want to see to determine if that inspector was the right person to do the inspection for you!

Reworking your website to eliminate these five deadly home inspection marketing mistakes will allow you to turn more of the visitors to your website into paying customers.

NOTE: At the Home Inspection Marketing Center, we have training courses on how to improve your website, so that you can get more sales directly from the public. Join Today!
